The American Legion and the Memorial Home Association are open for business. All regular meetings of The Legion, The Sons, the Riders and the Auxiliary have been resumed. 
Hours for the Memorial Association vary and will be posted.









Wreaths Across America
The unloading of the wreaths for Wreaths Across America will be held at the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies on Thursday 16 December, 2021. Volunteers to help unload should be at the Maintenance Building no later than 7:30 AM. The two semis are scheduled to arrive around 8 AM. 
Also, due to covid concerns, no formal ceremony will be held prior to placing the wreaths on the veterans' graves. However, if you wish to lay a wreath you may do so on the following dates and times:
Friday, 17 December 3PM to 5PM
Saturday, 18 December 9AM to 12PM
Sunday, 19 December 9AM to 12PM

Welcome to our website. We invite all veterans and veteran supporters to come to our Post and see exactly what we have to offer. Our Post is active in both the veteran and local communities. 





Our Post is located in Carnegie, PA. We have many activities and events scheduled throughout the year. Our American Legion Family includes Legionnaires, Sons of the American Legion, American Legion Riders and the American Legion Auxiliary. The American Legion was chartered in 1919 as a patriotic  veterans organization dedicated to mutual helpfulness. As an American Legion Post, we are non partisan, not for profit organization driven by an honest advocacy for veterans rights. Our success depends entirely on active membership, participation and volunteerism. The American Legion and our Post belongs to the people it serves and the communities in which we thrive.
The American Legion was founded on four pillars: Veterans Affairs and Rehabilitation, National Security, Americanism and Children and Youth. These pillars are as relevant today as when our organization was founded in 1919.
The requirements for joining the American Legion have been changed. Any veteran who has served one day in the military and was honorably discharged (includes medical) since December 7, 1941 is now eligible.
The time frame is: December 7, 1941 until cessation of current hostilities as determined by the U.S. Government.





Please join us at our monthly meetings.

The Post Officers and Legionnaires meet the third Thursday of each month at 7:00 PM. All Post business is conducted at these meetings. 


2019 marks the 100 year anniversary of the founding of the American Legion. 2019 is also the 100th anniversary of our Post.

 OUR POST WILL BECOME NON-SMOKING EFFECTIVE                                                               AUGUST 1, 2018                                                       

The Officers and Legion members in attendance at the June 21st monthly meeting voted to make our Post non-smoking and non-vaping effective August 1, 2018. Therefore, after August 1, 2018, smoking will only be permitted in the parking lot or on the deck adjacent to the Post.






Every Wednesday afternoon at the Post enjoy live band music. The Band plays from 4 to 8 PM.
